Born from a tradition of quality, V&V Supremo® Chihuahua® cheese entered the Villaseñor families’ line of fine food products to meet the demand for a traditional “queso quesadilla” made from all-natural, non-processed ingredients. Its distinctive pale yellow color, semi-soft texture, and incomparably mild, buttery taste make it the number one Mexican-style melting cheese. Try it on all types of pizza, lasagna or casserole dishes, and certainly your queso fundidos, nachos, quesadillas, and enchiladas deserve no less than V&V Supremo® Chihuahua® cheese.
Shortly after V&V Supremo began over 40 years ago in Chicago’s historic “Back of the Yards” neighborhood, our founders responded to a clear need for a traditional Mexican melting cheese, or “queso quesadilla”. The melting cheeses available at this time lacked the richness, suppleness, and overall desired flavor profile. From Oaxaca to Sonora, (and all points in between) the culinary importance of high-quality melting cheese is evident. V&V Supremo® stepped up to the plate with Chihuahua® cheese, which provided the flavor and texture required to produce meals that evoked our Mother Country both in the Mexican-American home, and in the many restaurants that evolved over the years. Specifically, the pale golden hue, buttery flavor, and luxurious “stretch” of this product enabled the creation of impeccable culinary delights, both rustic and refined.
