2 oz. maple syrup
4 1/2 oz. spicy brown mustard
2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 Yeasted Waffle, toasted (see recipe)
1 , 4 oz. fried chicken cutlet, cut in half
3 slices of Chihuahua® Quesadilla Cheese from V&V SUPREMO®
lime juice, to taste
arugula, for garnish
quartered cherry tomatoes

Method of Preparation

  1. Whisk together maple syrup, mustard, and Worcestershire sauce. Cover with plastic wrap and store in cooler until ready to use.
  2. Place waffle on broiler-proof platter. Drizzle a generous amount of maple mustard sauce onto waffle. Place 1 half of the chicken on the waffle. Top with 3 slices of cheese, overlapping each other.
  3. Broil until cheese begins to melt and soften. Drizzle more maple mustard sauce on cheese. Place remaining piece of chicken on top.
  4. Gently toss arugula and tomatoes with lime juice. Mound salad on top and cascade down the side.
