3 1/2 oz. V&V Supremo® Shredded Chihuahua Cheese
1 1/2 oz. V&V Supremo® Pre-Cooked Pork Chorizo Crumbles, Thawed
1 oz. diced scallions (green section)
1 Tbsp. coarsely chopped fresh oregano
3 Tbsp. marinara sauce
5 oz. pizza dough
egg wash

Method of Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
  2. Line half-sheet tray with parchment paper.
  3. Combine cheese, chorizo, scallions, oregano and sauce in bowl.
  4. Roll dough out to 8 ½ inch diameter circle on floured surface.
  5. Add filling onto half of the circle, leaving a 1 inch border.
  6. Brush border with water to help seal calzone. Fold over dough so the curved edges line up and pinch together (or crimp with fork) to seal. Place on sheet tray.
  7. Brush top side with egg wash. Cut 3 slits in top of calzone.
  8. Bake for 10 minutes, rotate and bake 7-9 minutes more, or until crust is well-browned.
