Submit your recipe using V&V Supremo's® classic Chihuahua® melting cheese- get your culinary creation posted on our website and win cash plus V&V Supremo® product prizes!
Enter your original recipe using any of V&V Supremo® Chihuahua® varieties, (Chihuahua®, Chihuahua® with chipotle, or Chihuahua® with jalapeno) for an appetizer, entree, side dish, or any other category. All ethnic cuisines are welcome (as well as “good old American”). Traditional and contemporary ideas will be judged equally.
Entries will be judged on clarity of instructions, creativity, appearance, use of Chihuahua® melting cheese, and of course, deliciousness.
Entries must be received by midnight on July 30th, 2010. Winners will be announced around August 30th, 2010.

Recipe Contest Official Rules
Eligibility
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. Entrants must be legal residents of the fifty United States or District of Columbia and at least 18 years of age at time of entry. Full or part-time employees of V&V Supremo® Foods, Inc. (“Sponsor”) its affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies and their immediate family and household members (spouse, live-in significant other, parents, children, siblings, father-in-law, mother-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, grandparents and grandchildren, regardless of age or residency) are not eligible. You must have access to the Internet and a valid email address in order to enter or win. Contest is void where prohibited or restricted by law.
Entry Period
This contest begins on May 1, 2010 and ends July 30, 2010 at 11:59 pm CT (the “Entry Period”). To be eligible, entries must be received by the end of the Entry Period as recorded by Sponsor’s computer system (the official time keeping device of the contest).
Recipe Requirements
Entries must be the original recipe of the entrant. Each recipe must include at least one variety of V&V Supremo® Chihuahua® melting cheese. Previously published recipes (such as those appearing in cookbooks, magazines and newspapers, published or promoted by food companies, or publicized on the Internet) and winning recipes from publicized contests will be disqualified.
How to Enter
You can enter the contest by visiting www.vvsupremo.com and clicking on our “Submit a Recipe” link. Your recipe must include recipe name and list of ingredients with their exact quantities in the order they are used. Specific directions (in paragraph form) must include cookware size (pot, pan or dish), prep time, cooking time and temperature. Incomplete entries will be disqualified. You may enter as many recipes as you like. A separate entry must be made for each recipe. Entries with recipes not fulfilling the Recipe Requirements (see above) will be disqualified. By participating, entrants agree to these Official Rules including all eligibility requirements.
All recipes (1) must be the original and sole creation of the entrant, and all rights, title and interest in the recipe must be owned solely by the entrant, (2) may not have been submitted in any other national competition, (3) may not have been published; and (4) must not infringe upon any third party’s rights, including copyrights. Each entrant warrants and represents that his/her recipe complies with all of the preceding conditions. Do not include photos. Entries will not be returned. All recipes are subject to Sponsor’s approval before they are considered for entry.
Winning recipes will be posted on Sponsor’s website with full credit to the entrant without payment or compensation, other than as provided in these Official Rules. By entering this contest, you grant Sponsor the right to edit and publish your recipe, with credit, in Sponsor’s publications, products, and online services and those of its affiliates, regardless of whether you are awarded or receive a prize.
Winner Selection
All recipes will undergo an approval screening before being considered eligible. Recipes will be judged on final product quality, taste, appearance, creativity, use of Chihuahua® melting cheese, and clarity of instructions. Recipes will be selected and kitchen-tested by a panel of judges selected by Sponsor to determine winners. Sponsor will test recipes as submitted, so please check carefully for accuracy. Judges’ decisions are final. Sponsor reserves the right to provide a substitute ingredient that is similar to the original ingredient. No ingredients or garnishes can be added or deleted from recipes by an entrant once submitted.
Sponsor will attempt to notify winners by email on or about August 15th 2010. If a potential winner fails to respond to notification within 10 days, another entrant will be selected to replace them. If requested by Sponsor, Winners must complete, sign and return, within seven days of the date of notification, an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability /Publicity Release where lawful. This affidavit includes certification by the winner that his or her recipe is original and has not been previously published or publicized and that the winner consents to use of his or her name, recipe and/or photograph for publicity purposes without further compensation other than as provided by these Official Rules. If the releases are not timely returned or if any prize notification or any prize is returned as undeliverable, or if any prize winner is found to be ineligible or declines the prize or otherwise is not in compliance with these Official Rules, such prize may be forfeited, and the prize will be awarded to an alternate winner. Sponsor reserves the right to verify eligibility qualifications of any winner. All decisions of Sponsor are final.
Prizes
First Prize winner will receive $100 Visa® Gift Card. Second Prize winner will receive $75 Visa® Gift Card. Third Prize winner will receive $50 Visa® Gift Card. In addition the first, second and third prize winners will each receive a $50 gift certificate for V&V Supremo® products.
All Federal, State, and local taxes, duties, and the like, if any, are the sole responsibility of the prize winners. No substitution, assignment, redemption for cash, or transfer of any prizes permitted, except that Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value in the event that an offered prize becomes unavailable. Limit one prize per household. Winners should allow 4 to 6 weeks to receive their prize.
Personal Information
Personal identification collected from entrants will only be used in context of the contest-for example to contact you in the event of winning. Only winners’ names, home town and recipes will be posted on our website. As a condition to winning this contest, you consent to Sponsor’s use of your name and city/state for promotional purposes, including online announcements, without additional compensation, except where prohibited by law.
Limitation of Liability
By participating in the contest, you agree to release and hold harmless V&V Supremo® Foods, Inc., and its affiliates and their employees and agents (collectively, “Released Parties”) from and against any claim, loss, damage, liability, expense, impairment or cause of action arising out or related to your participation in the contest, or your receipt or use of any prize. Released Parties shall not be liable to you or any third party for any loss or damage suffered as a result of your entries, including but not limited to a plagiarized recipe, and you agree to release and to indemnify and hold harmless Released Parties from all such liability, claims or losses. Released Parties shall not responsible for incorrect or inaccurate transcription of entry information, or for any human error, technical malfunctions, lost/delayed data transmission, omission or failures of any network, computer equipment, or software, or any other error or malfunction, or late, lost or misdirected entries. Released Parties are not responsible for any liability for damage to any computer system resulting from participation in or accessing or downloading information in connection with the contest. Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or operation of the contest or its website.
Other
After December 1, 2010 a winner may request that his/her recipe be removed from Sponsor’s website by emailing Sponsor.
If, for any reason, the contest is not capable of running as planned by reason of infection by computer virus, worms, bugs, tampering, hacking, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes which, in sole opinion of the Sponsor, corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the contest, Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the contest, and determine the winners from entries received prior to action taken, or as otherwise deemed fair and equitable by Sponsor.
You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in the State of Illinois, U.S.A. for the resolution of all disputes arising from or related to the contest, these terms and/or the use of the website.
Contest void where prohibited or restricted by law. All U.S. federal, state and local laws apply.
