Ingredients
-  1 Tbsp. unsalted butter
-  1 granny smith apple, peeled, thinly sliced
-  1 Tbsp. brown sugar
-  ¼ cup pecans, chopped
-  ¼ tsp. ground cinnamon
-  4 flour tortillas
-  1 cup Shredded Chihuahua® Brand Quesadilla Cheese from V&V SUPREMO®
-  ¼ cup caramel sauce
-  ¼ cup Supremo® Brand Sour Cream from V&V SUPREMO®
4 Steps to complete
- 1Preheat a large nonstick skillet over medium heat for 1 minute.
- 2Add butter to the skillet, once melted, add sliced apple and cook for 5-6 minutes. Mix in brown sugar and cook for 1 minute. Mix in pecans and cinnamon, then continue to cook for 1 minute. Divide mixture into 2 portions and set aside.
- 3Preheat a skillet or pan for 1 minute over medium-low heat. The temperature of the skillet is important so that the tortillas do not harden or overcook before the cheese fully melts. Heat 2 tortillas for 30 seconds on one side and flip. Add ¼ cup of cheese, half of the apple mixture, add ¼ cup of cheese on top of the apple mixture. Top with the other tortilla. Cook until the cheese is melted and the tortillas are golden brown on each side (about 1½ minutes per side). Repeat with remaining ingredients.
- 4Warm caramel sauce in the microwave for 1 minute. Cut quesadilla into quarters, drizzle with caramel sauce, and sour cream on top. Enjoy!
