Try this recipe whether you’re throwing a party in your backyard or taking a dish to pass at a picnic or potluck. Delicious as an appetizer!
Ingredients
-  8 oz. tomatillos, husks removed, washed
 -  2 serrano peppers (optional)
 -  2 large poblano peppers, roasted, peeled, seeded, and coarsely chopped
 -  3 large avocados (peel and pit removed)
 -  ¼ cup cilantro, chopped
 -  ¾ cup Supremo® Brand Mexican Sour Cream from V&V SUPREMO®
 -  ¾ cup diced onion (preferably sweet onion)
 -  2 cups water
 -  to taste salt
 
4 Steps to complete
- 1Place the tomatillos and serrano peppers in a small pot with 2 cups water over medium heat. Bring to boil, reduce heat to low. Cook until tomatillos are softened (about 10 minutes). Drain, reserve tomatillo water and chill.
 - 2In a blender, place tomatillos, serranos, and poblano peppers, with ¼ cup of tomatillo water add ¼ tsp salt or to taste. Blend to a coarse consistency.
 - 3In a big bowl, mash avocados to a coarse consistency.
 - 4Pour tomatillo sauce into the avocado mix. Add sour cream, onion, cilantro, and salt to taste (about ½ tsp.). Mix well. Enjoy with chips, or on tacos.
