Queso Fresco with Tomatillo Salsa is an easy to make snack! Creamy Queso Fresco Cheese is topped with a fresh blend of green tomatillos, cilantro, and serrano peppers.
Ingredients
- 1 (10 oz.) pkg. V&V SUPREMO® Brand Queso Fresco Cheese
- ¾ cup tomatillo, fine dice
- ⅓ cup red onion, fine dice
- ¼ cup fresh cilantro, fine chop
- 1 Tbsp. fresh lime juice
- 1 tsp. olive oil
- ½ tsp. Kosher salt
- ⅛ tsp. ground black pepper
- ½ serrano pepper, thin diagonal slice
- Tortilla Chips
- Lime wedges (optional)
4 Steps to complete
- 1Over a bowl; crumble Queso Fresco. Reserve ¼ cup for garnish.
- 2In a bowl; combine tomatillo, onion, cilantro, lime juice, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Mix to combine until all ingredients are fully incorporated.
- 3On a serving plate or platter; spread crumbled Queso Fresco Cheese. Top with tomatillo salsa. Garnish with reserved ¼ cup crumbled Queso Fresco Cheese and sliced serrano peppers.
- 4Serve Queso Fresco with Tomatillo Salsa, tortilla chips, lime wedges, and enjoy!
