This traditional combination of refried beans and chorizo goes well with any dish or as an appetizer with chips or filling for some delicious tacos.
Ingredients

2 Tbsp. vegetable oil

¼ cup onion, diced

1 clove of garlic, minced
-
4 cups cooked pinto beans
-
1 (15 oz.) pkg Supremo® Brand Pork Chorizo from V&V SUPREMO®
-
¾ cup Queso Fresco Cheese From V&V SUPREMO®, crumbled
-
tortilla chips or tortillas

salt to taste
4 Steps to complete

1Preheat a skillet over medium heat for 1 minute. Add the oil and heat for 1 minute. Add onions and sauté for 30 seconds. Add garlic and cook for 10 more seconds.

2Drain beans. Reserve broth. Add beans into the skillet with the onions and garlic. Cook for 5 minutes.

3Add the cooked chorizo to the bean mixture along with the bean broth. Mix well and mash the beans over medium heat and cook for 5 more minutes.

4Place mixture in a serving dish, garnish with Queso Fresco. Serve as a dip with chips.
