This Cheese Spread Skull will impress your friends for its amazing taste, try if for Day of the Dead!
Ingredients
- medium plastic skull mold
- ½ cup Grated Sierra® Brand Cotija Cheese from V&V SUPREMO®
- 1 (7.06 oz. pkg.) Shredded Chihuahua® Brand Quesadilla Cheese from V&V SUPREMO®
- 1 (8 oz. pkg.) V&V SUPREMO® Brand Queso Fresco Cheese
- ¼ cup Supremo® Brand Mexican Sour Cream from V&V SUPREMO®
- ½ tsp. onion powder
- ¼ tsp. garlic powder
- ½ tsp. smoked paprika
- ¼ tsp. cayenne pepper
- ¼ tsp. kosher salt
- ¼ tsp. fine ground black pepper
- 1 (5.3 oz.) jar pimentos, drained and finely chopped
- 7 sliced black olives, for the teeth, slice 4 of the olives into quarters
6 Steps to complete
- 1Spray non-stick spray into a plastic skeleton skull mold and set aside.
- 2Using a food processor, blend Cotija cheese for 1 minute. Add Chihuahua cheese to food processor and blend again for another minute. Add Queso Fresco and continue to blend for 1½ minutes.
- 3Add sour cream, onion, and garlic powder, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper. Continue to blend for 20 seconds.
- 4Transfer cheese mixture into a bowl and mix pimientos into the mixture. Transfer cheese mixture into the skull shaped plastic mold. Cover with plastic wrap and place the cheese mold into the refrigerator for 1 hour.
- 5Once ready, invert skull onto a tray. Place and press 2 sliced olive into the eye and nose sockets. Slice the rest of the olives into quarters to create the teeth.
- 6Serve with your favorite crackers or veggies. Enjoy!!!
